Hello CAD Dancers & Families,
Welcome to November!
Health & Wellness Update
As the cold and flu season is upon us, we feel that an update to our health and wellness policy is needed. All dancers aged 10 and above will now be required to wear their masks while attending classes (unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from doing so). It will be the parents’ discretion as to whether or not children 9 and under will wear their masks while dancing. We ask you to have this conversation as a family and do what is best for you. This requirement will take effect on Monday, November 9th and we anticipate it will last until at least Winter Break. We will continue to stay informed and re-evaluate as necessary.
Additionally, please be reminded that masks are also required for students aged 5 and above whenever you are entering and exiting the building, as well as in the common areas. Please keep your child home if they are not feeling well or if they have any cold or flu symptoms. It is important to note that if your child is not well enough to attend school, they should not be attending their dance classes, competitions, performances or exams.
We are open for classes on Remembrance Day, Wednesday November 11th.
All November fees are now due. If you require a reminder of your monthly amount, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
We would like to announce the following adjustments to our year, please mark your calendars!
- Parent Viewing will be cancelled for December. We hope to put together short videos for you to have a sneak peek into your child’s classroom.
- Sneak Peek/Winter Show – NEW DATE: February 27th
- In-Studio Dress Rehearsal – NEW DATE: May 29th/30th
- Stage Day – NEW DATE: June 4th
We would like to congratulate our dancers on their recent competition at Star Talent in New Westminster. Our Competitive Team will also be participating in the Coastal Festival this weekend, we wish them the best of luck!
Select senior dancers will be participating in online examinations through the ISTD (International Society Teachers of Dancing) at the end of November. We are very excited that they will be able to participate in their examinations and we wish them well with this endeavour!
The Elves Club Telethon will be running again this year. While it will look slightly different, we are very happy to be able to perform and be a part of this event on Saturday, November 14th. Our Elite, Intensive and Company dancers will be participating in a filmed performance that will be aired in December. Stay tuned for further information on how you may view this performance.
Thank you for taking the time to stay up to date on all things CAD!
