Welcome Back to Dance!
Dance classes are now in full swing and everything seems to be settling down nicely.
Thank you for your patience in regards to a few changes that we have made to the schedule.
We would like to ask you to read this newsletter to keep up to date with upcoming events and a few reminders.
DATES & EVENTS:
October 12 – Thanksgiving – CAD closed (Make up class will be on December 14)
October 23 – Pro- D Day – CAD open + PPP workshop – 11 am to 3 pm.
October 30 – Adult Tap Workshop – 5:30 pm – 7 pm
October 24 & 31 – Intermediate Tap Lab – 1:30 pm – 3 pm
October 31 – Adult Jazz Workshop – 3 pm – 4:30 pm
Margie Gillis, internationally acclaimed Modern Dancer, will be giving a FREE workshop at the studio on October 21, 10 am to 3 pm (organised by The Sunshine Coast Dance Society)
You will need to pre-register at: info@sunshinecoastdance.com
Ms. Gillis will also be performing at The Raven’s Cry Theatre on October 24 at 8 pm.

REMINDERS:
If you still have fees outstanding please make a payment as soon as possible.
Payment options:
- Cash or cheque at the studio
- E-transfer (contact office to obtain password)
- Visa – online (contact office for link) 3% visa charges will be added
Please remember to mark your name in all of your dance wear and to ensure that you have all the necessary hair supplies with you. Hair must be tied back for all classes and dancers must have a bun for all Ballet and Pointe classes.
Please endeavour to arrive on time for all classes.
Please always wear correct and safe foot wear and clean runners/shoes for Acting and Hip Hop classes.
Please respect all areas of the dance school including the changing rooms.
COSTUME FEES:
Costume fees for the year end production are due by December 1.
Pre-school – Primary $20 per class
Above Primary level $30 per class
CASH ONLY PLEASE
COMPETITION CLASSES:
Please bring in your competition fees if you have not already done so.
If you are in 1 competition class the fee is $100 which goes towards entry fees, costume costs and hotel stay.
If you are in multiple competition classes the cost is $100 for the first class and $60 for each additional class.
Competition classes are:
- Junior Competition Jazz
- Adv. Competition Jazz
- Adv. Competition Street Jazz
- Adv. 2 Tap
- Adv. Contemporary Jazz (TBC)
